PADDLE TO SEATTLE
THE NORTHWEST
The North American Inside Passage is considered the most scenic and challenging passageway in the world. It is home to the largest remaining populations of threatened and endangered species: humpback whales, Stellar sea lions, and the short-tailed albatross. It is North America’s only rain forest. The geography is a marvel of plate tectonics, mirroring in the design of Asia’s Himalayas. The isolating fjord topography has caused unique social idiosyncrasies in the many native and frontiersman communities along the 2,000 kilometer passages. It is a recently unexplored landscape with a wealth of rich biodiversity and social fascinations.
